Tiger’s EyeStrength in Motion

There’s something about Tiger’s Eye that draws you in before you even know why. The golden-brown shimmer feels alive, almost as if the stone is breathing light. I’ve always seen it as a grounding friend—steady, watchful, and powerful. When I hold it, I’m reminded that God built His creation with the same care and complexity as He built us. Even this little stone is full of the very elements that make up our bodies—silicon, oxygen, iron—woven together in ways that speak to strength, clarity, and stability.

Those elements matter. Silicon and oxygen form the framework of the stone, much like they’re part of the framework of our bones and tissues. Iron gives Tiger’s Eye its warmth and rich golden tones, and in us, it’s the lifeblood that carries oxygen to every cell. When you think about it, that connection isn’t an accident—it’s a whisper of the Creator’s design, showing us that what He placed in the earth resonates with what He placed in us.

Historically, Tiger’s Eye has carried a reputation for courage and protection. Ancient Egyptians carved them into eyes for deity statues, which they believed could see into both worlds. Roman soldiers once wore it into battle, trusting its golden flash to give them bravery and focus. Throughout Asia, it was revered as a wealth stone and was believed to sharpen the mind, and ward off ill fortune. Each culture perceived something different in it, but all agreed—it carried the strength of watchfulness and the steadiness to stand firm.

When I think about where Tiger’s Eye seems to “rest” in the body, it’s the lower stomach area—your solar plexus—where courage and decision-making take root. It’s as if the stone whispers, Stand strong, trust your footing, and move forward. And in a world that can shake our confidence too readily, those reminders are worth their weight in gold.

God often uses the simplest things—a stone, a color, a glimmer of light—to speak truth into our hearts. For me, Tiger’s Eye is one of those reminders that I am grounded, protected, and seen.

This month I am offering 25% off all the grounding stone items I have in my Etsy shop. Here’s another hint ( at least I think it works!), If you favor something at the 25% discount that it’s listed at, I set it up for another 25% off the item because you favored it.

Seven Affirmations for Grounded Courage
When I work with Tiger’s Eye, I like to speak these truths over my life—rooting them in Scripture and the knowledge that God made both me and this stone for His glory:

  1. I am grounded in the peace of God, no matter what surrounds me.
  2. I walk with courage, knowing the Lord goes before me.
  3. My mind is clear, and my decisions are aligned with God’s wisdom.
  4. I am protected under the shadow of His wings.
  5. God has given me strength for this season, and I will not fear.
  6. His light guides my steps, even in uncertain places.
  7. I am seen, loved, and equipped for every good work.
