Greetings, friend!
It’s a joy to have you here. Today, we’re diving into the healing mystery of Turquoise, a gemstone long treasured for its beauty, spiritual depth, and calming properties. If you’ve browsed my Etsy shop, you’ve probably seen several turquoise pieces that pair beautifully with other stones—each one carrying a unique message and purpose.
A Devotional Journey Rooted in Heaven and Earth

I’m excited to share that my new devotional series, “Treasures of Earth, Whispers of Heaven,” is launching next week along with my Kindle book:
“The Unseen Voice of Aleph: Creation and the Language of God.”
This book explores the rich symbolism behind the Hebrew letters and the stones God placed in creation to reflect His nature.
The second book in the series will focus on Beit, and I’m hoping for a September release. In that devotional, I’ll explore connections to Jesus, the Hebrew letter Zayin (meaning “weapon,” with the gematria of 7), and seven key themes throughout Scripture—such as the feasts, Christ’s last words, and other sacred sevens. As many know, seven is the number of completion.
While Turquoise is not featured directly in my Zayin devotional piece, it finds a beautiful and meaningful home in the journey between Vav and Zayin. As the stone connected to Vav—the divine connector between Heaven and Earth—Turquoise speaks of alignment, wholeness, and the joining together of what was once fragmented. Its gentle blend of sky blue and earthy green reflects the promise that what God starts in Heaven, He finishes on Earth. As we move into Zayin, the seventh letter representing rest, fullness, and completion, Turquoise becomes a visual and spiritual reminder that completion begins when we’re connected. Just as Vav draws together spirit and form, Turquoise draws together the fragments of our hearts, preparing us to walk in the peace and rest that Zayin offers. Completion isn’t simply checking off a task—it’s about God bringing every part of us into wholeness.
🛡️ Turquoise: A Sanctuary of Protection
Turquoise has long been known as a protective stone, a spiritual sanctuary that shields against fear, anxiety, and chaotic energy. While the Bible doesn’t always mention turquoise by name, some translations include it as part of the High Priest’s breastplate in Exodus 28:15–21.
“Fashion a breastpiece for making decisions—the work of skilled hands… Mount four rows of precious stones… The second row shall be turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald…”
(Excerpt from Exodus 28:15–18)

Turquoise on the Breastplate
Turquoise is commonly considered to be the sixth stone on the High Priest’s breastplate (The hebrews read right to left, so the stone is the 6th on the left in the picture). Depending on the interpretation, it may represent the tribe of Issachar, known for understanding the times and walking in wisdom. Issachar’s land—rich, fertile, and divinely appointed—mirrors the life-giving, refreshing quality of turquoise.

Chemical & Geographic Origins
Turquoise is a hydrous phosphate of copper and aluminum and is mostly sourced from arid climates. The best-known turquoise deposits are found in the American Southwest, Egypt, Iran, Chile, China, and Mexico.
💧 Water, Heaven, and Earth
Turquoise’s elemental affinity is with Water and Air, representing cleansing, flow, and spiritual breath. It symbolizes life-giving rain, sky energy, and divine nourishment.
Native American, Egyptian, and Persian cultures held turquoise in sacred esteem:
- Egyptians carved it into scarabs for health and protection.

- Native Americans used it in rain rituals, healing ceremonies, and as a bridge between Earth and Sky.
- Persians called it the “Stone of Heaven” and embedded it into palace domes to reflect divine beauty.
- Tibetans wore it during prayer to enhance spiritual attunement and protection.
This sacred bridge between sky and earth is why I include turquoise in my “Vav” jewelry collection. In Hebrew, the sixth word in Genesis contains Vav—a connector joining Heaven and Earth, perfectly aligned with turquoise’s spiritual resonance.

🌾 Psalm 65:9 – Turquoise in Scripture
“You visit the earth and water it; you greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water; you provide grain, for so you have prepared it.” – Psalm 65:9
This verse paints a picture of abundance, nourishment, and divine care—all things reflected in the essence of turquoise. Just as God waters the earth, He refreshes our hearts, bringing spiritual and emotional healing.

✨ Affirmation Inspired by Psalm 65:9:
“God waters the garden of my heart; I live in His abundance and overflow.”
Wearing or holding turquoise while meditating on this Scripture can be a tangible reminder to receive God’s refreshment, especially in dry, anxious places of the soul.
💓 Emotional & Physical Healing
Turquoise resonates strongly with the throat and chest area, where we often carry fear, grief, or anxiety. It brings balance between the heart and the voice, helping us speak truth in love and live authentically.
Affirmation: “My voice is aligned with truth, and my heart flows with Heaven’s peace.”
I encourage you to pray Psalm 19 or Psalm 29 aloud when you get a chance and feel the connect of Heaven to Earth.

📝 To Recap: Turquoise Represents…
- Heaven meeting Earth (Vav letter connection)
- Divine communication, emotional alignment, and spiritual peace
- Protection from fear and trauma
- Restoration of voice and heart
- A stone of completion, preparation, and peace before entering Zayin’s rest

- What truth is God asking me to speak today?
- What dry place in my heart needs His refreshing waters?
May God bless you on this journey of healing, restoration, and rediscovery. He placed gemstones and fibers in the earth as whispers of His creativity and care—for beauty, for remembrance, and yes, even for health.
Come back next week as we continue uncovering the treasures of Earth that whisper of Heaven’s truth.
